About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Debug complex issues at the code, API, and architecture level
Write Python, JavaScript, and SQL scripts and internal tools to eliminate manual effort
Lead technical due diligence on major releases
Lead and mentor technical representatives and specialists
Run 1:1s and huddles with technical mentorship
Build tailored development plans toward specialist and engineering tracks
Manage workload distribution and staffing with Zendesk, Telescope, and Jira
Maintain workflow, macro, and tagging documentation
Track TRT and FRT metrics and ensure solution correctness to the code level
Resolve critical Tech-to-Engineering escalations and serve as technical point of contact for manager-level issues
Partner with Product, Engineering, and AI builders in planning and architecture conversations
Track defects and enhancements in Jira
Build and maintain Looker and SQL dashboards
Flag process or coverage risks and contribute to broader Tech/CX initiatives
Identify automation candidates and build first-pass AI prototypes for auto-tagging, drafting, and summarization
Scale successful AI pilots to production and evaluate LLM/API tooling for feasibility and cost

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, technical support engineering, or SRE/DevOps-adjacent roles
Practical coding proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL
1–2+ years of proven people management or team-lead experience
Ability to read and debug code, evaluate system architecture, and conduct root-cause analysis
Strong technical fluency with APIs, webhooks, logs, and data pipelines
Ability to write scripts and queries independently
Hands-on experience with Zendesk, Jira, Looker, or SQL-based dashboards
Proven track record of improving operational metrics such as TRT and FRT
Experience building, piloting, or working with AI-assisted tools, including LLM drafting, auto-tagging, or summarization workflows
Adaptability and comfort in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
Fluency in Spanish, French, and English
Ability to work the overnight shift from 2:00 AM to 10:00 AM
