About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete a two-year rotational experience with rotations to different functional areas every six months
- Develop business acumen, functional expertise, and professional skills through hands-on experience
- Rotate through New Product Development and Sustaining/VAVE
- Potentially rotate through Optical Engineering, Light Engine Engineering, Outsourced Product Development, Product Support, Product Management, Project Management, Tech Support, Field Service, Post Sales, Labs & Certifications
- Participate in specialized onboarding
- Receive one-on-one mentorship from an ABL Tech leader
- Participate in social and networking events with peers and business leaders
- Collaborate with program peers on business processes and initiatives
- Present rotational learnings in leadership report-out meetings
- Participate in performance reviews to identify strengths and areas for growth
- Build technical, business, and professional skills for future career opportunities at Acuity
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Electrical Engineering or Electrical is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and time-management skills
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Intermediate general proficiency with AI tools
- Availability to travel based on business needs, up to 20%
- Experience in basic principles of scripting and leveraging APIs
- Experience with basic control cabling and network configuration
- Comfortable working with third-party lighting hardware
- Leadership experience influencing change, people, and processes is highly preferred
- Team-oriented with a drive to take the initiative is highly preferred
- Less than two years of related work experience is highly preferred
