About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and oversee the North American quality team of 8–10 professionals
  • Foster team engagement, continuous mentoring, and skills development
  • Apply HR processes, coach and mentor team members, evaluate performance, and implement continuous improvement plans
  • Oversee operational quality, incoming/in-process/final inspection, reliability testing, and DFMEA/PFMEA risk analysis
  • Interface with operations and customers on OEM quality requirements
  • Review and confirm compliance with non-standard OEM requirements during quotation requests
  • Coordinate, prepare, and maintain customer PPAP documentation
  • Participate in risk analysis and management within product development
  • Integrate quality planning and collaborate with Product Engineering, R&D, and Sales
  • Guarantee the quality level defined by management
  • Promote Distech values
  • Contribute to quality improvement, environmental protection, safety, and working conditions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent with 10 years of experience in an industrial environment
  • Mastery of AIAG 5 Core Tools (APQP, PPAP)
  • Automotive experience is an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Fully bilingual in French and English (written, spoken, read)
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, technical writing, and priority management
  • Use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) related to the electronics environment (ESD)
