About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in designing and developing scalable software and REST APIs for Acuity’s digital ecosystem
  • Contribute to solutions using Python and DevOps practices
  • Support deployment and operation of containerized solutions using cloud-native principles
  • Help build and integrate AI features into software systems for automation and data intelligence
  • Participate in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate in Agile environments using Scrum or Kanban
  • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions
  • Support unit, integration, and performance testing using PyTest with TDD/BDD practices
  • Help ensure security best practices through AuthN/AuthZ and container vulnerability scanning
  • Work with product management, cloud architecture, and data science teams to deliver business outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience with or demonstrable interest in AI, machine learning, or data-driven applications
  • Exposure to containerization, such as Docker, or cloud-native development
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools or DevOps concepts
  • Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
  • Curiosity about modern frameworks such as LangChain, Hugging Face, or OpenAI API
  • Interest in security best practices or DevSecOps
  • Knowledge of Python, including FastAPI, Flask, OOP, typing, asynchronous programming, and Pydantic
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, cloud-native principles, containerized solutions, CI/CD pipelines, Agile frameworks, testing, authentication and authorization
  • Familiarity with tools including Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Miro, Teams, Git, VSCode, Docker, Postman, PyTest, Azure, ArgoCD, and GitHub Actions
