About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in Acuity’s two-year rotational BUILD program
  • Rotate to a different functional area every six months
  • Work on Supply Chain Distribution projects alongside experienced colleagues
  • Participate in Distribution Planning, with flexible on-site work and travel as needed
  • Contribute to BSF Engineering and Continuous Improvement at an Acuity facility
  • Contribute to Focused Factory activities at an Acuity facility
  • Gain exposure to Trade Compliance Operations, Customer Experience, and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
  • Build business acumen, functional expertise, and professional skills
  • Collaborate with program peers on business processes and initiatives
  • Attend leadership report-out meetings and performance reviews
  • Temporary relocation to another Acuity site may be required for some rotations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Demonstrated interest in process improvement, continuous improvement, or operational excellence; related coursework, projects, or internship experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to evaluate operational data, identify root causes, and recommend practical improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership experience influencing change, people, and processes is highly preferred
  • Collaborative and team-oriented with a drive to take the initiative is highly preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Availability to travel based on business needs, up to 20%
  • Less than two years of related work experience is highly preferred
  • Early-career interest in learning, new challenges, ownership, feedback, technology, and building a long-term career at Acuity
