About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in Acuity Inc.’s two-year BUILD rotational experience
- Rotate to a different functional area every six months
- Work on Supply Chain Manufacturing projects alongside experienced colleagues
- Explore Production Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, and Focused Factory areas
- Gain exposure to Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing Network Strategy
- Build business acumen, functional expertise, and professional skills
- Collaborate with program peers on business processes and initiatives
- Attend leadership report-out meetings to share rotational learnings and participate in performance reviews
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
- Interest in an operations career path and willingness to work on site in a hands-on manufacturing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Demonstrated operational problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and time-management skills
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, inventory management, or production scheduling through coursework, internships, or project experience is preferred
- Ability to use data to monitor operational performance and balance service, cost, inventory, and quality objectives
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Exposure to ERP or digital manufacturing systems, such as Oracle is preferred
- Leadership experience demonstrating initiative, sound decision-making, teamwork, and the ability to influence people, processes, or change
- Availability to travel based on business needs, up to 20%, is required
- Less than two years of related professional work experience is highly preferred
