About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in Acuity Inc.’s two-year rotational BUILD program
- Rotate to a different functional area every six months
- Work on projects alongside experienced colleagues based on business needs, individual interests, and company objectives
- Gain exposure to Distribution Planning, BSF Engineering and Continuous Improvement, Focused Factory, Trade Compliance Operations, Customer Experience, and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
- Build business acumen, functional expertise, and professional skills
- Collaborate with program peers on business processes and initiatives
- Participate in specialized onboarding, mentorship, social and networking events, and leadership report-out meetings
- Share rotational learnings and participate in performance reviews to identify strengths and growth areas
- Work in flexible, on-site/travel-as-needed Distribution Planning and on-site Acuity facility rotations
- Potentially relocate temporarily to another Acuity site during some rotations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Demonstrated interest in process improvement, continuous improvement, or operational excellence; related coursework, projects, or internship experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including evaluating operational data, identifying root causes, and recommending practical improvements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Leadership experience influencing change, people, and processes highly preferred
- Collaborative and team-oriented with initiative highly preferred
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required
- Availability to travel based on business needs, up to 20%, required
- Less than two years of related work experience highly preferred
- Early-career talent interested in learning, new challenges, ownership, feedback, technology, and a long-term career at Acuity
