Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in a two-year rotational experience through different functional areas every six months
  • Work on projects alongside experienced colleagues based on business needs, individual interests, and company objectives
  • Rotate through areas including Production Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, and Focused Factory
  • Gain exposure to Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing Network Strategy
  • Develop business acumen, functional expertise, and professional skills
  • Participate in specialized onboarding, mentorship, networking events, peer collaboration, leadership report-outs, and performance reviews
  • Work on site in a hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Temporarily relocate to another Acuity site for some rotations if required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
  • Interest in an operations career path
  • Willingness to work on site in a hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Demonstrated operational problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and time-management skills
  • Ability to use data to monitor operational performance and balance service, cost, inventory, and quality objectives
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Leadership experience demonstrating initiative, sound decision-making, teamwork, and the ability to influence people, processes, or change
  • Availability to travel based on business needs, up to 20%, is required
  • Less than two years of related professional work experience is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, inventory management, or production scheduling through coursework, internships, or project experience is preferred
  • Exposure to ERP or digital manufacturing systems, such as Oracle, is preferred
