About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Enroll, educate, and support Acumen clients throughout their lifecycle
  • Support employers and employees during enrollment
  • Process paperwork and manage electronic communication
  • Perform accurate data entry in multiple databases
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, program contacts, and third-party organizations
  • Explain program rules, regulations, and implementation requirements to stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between clients and Acumen departments
  • Receive, research, and resolve client inquiries within contractual timeframes
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Manage escalated issues involving client families and states
  • Develop strategies for program growth through marketing, education, and community outreach
  • Collaborate with internal departments to address issues
  • Manage fluctuating call and email volume
  • Provide customer service through calls and electronic communication
  • Support the company’s compliant cybersecurity posture
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least one year of experience with manual data entry into databases
  • Prior experience in customer service and/or client relations
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle fluctuating inbound and outbound call volume
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, weeknights, and holidays
  • Experience using multiple applications simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, email, and PDFs
  • Ability to prioritize competing requests and meet multiple deadlines
  • Patience, perseverance, follow-through, attention to detail, and critical thinking
  • Ability to handle complex clients and stressful conditions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to obtain certain state-required certifications
  • Ability to travel, including overnight travel, when required by program
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance within the state of residence, if required by program
  • Secure remote workspace with high-speed internet when applicable
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive data-entry and office-equipment tasks
  • Ability to stand, walk, and talk for an hour or more
  • Vision ability including close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment
