About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT inspection methods
  • Establish examination techniques while adhering to safety regulations
  • Apply testing criteria according to specifications or standards and evaluate results
  • Identify, track, manage, and mitigate risk on client engagements; escalate issues when necessary
  • Review asset documentation and operational data, including inspection data, monitoring, and auditing associated NDE activities
  • Complete integrity assessments, including physical site walkdowns when required
  • Prepare project reports describing work performed, conclusions, and recommendations
  • Perform specialized inspections
  • Develop techniques for approval by customer certifying agents
  • Instruct and supervise others as needed
  • Provide technical evaluation and inspection activities, client/customer service, personnel management, and effective communications
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Some college preferred
  • Technical background in NDT (METHOD/S; UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR, etc.) and procedures with five years experience
  • Current NDT certifications in (METHOD/S; UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR, etc.) required
  • Supervisory experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
  • Knowledge of NDT equipment
  • Open to relocation
  • Extensive knowledge of ASME and API requirements and procedures pertaining to the evaluation of applicable equipment for continued serviceability
  • Knowledge of industry health and safety policies and procedures
  • Capable of interfacing with customers regarding schedules and problem solving
  • Ability to use applicable software and computer related equipment
  • Willingness to work outside and perform continuous physical effort
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to reach, kneel/crawl, bend/crouch, sit, stand, walk, climb, or drive as required
  • Travel may be required
