About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish the overall strategy for supporting developers, researchers, and enterprises seeking more control over their AI
  • Build and maintain Adaption's developer community spaces, including Discord and forums
  • Answer community questions, capture feedback, and convert it into actionable issues for the team
  • Organize and lead meetups, hackathons, office hours, and live streams
  • Collaborate with developer groups, universities, accelerators, and open-source communities to co-host and amplify events
  • Spotlight user projects and design partners through case studies, writeups, and guest talks
  • Build automations and scalable systems for community operations
  • Work closely with technical and marketing teams on cross-functional projects and feedback loops
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with community members and connect people doing related work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–3 years in a community lead role, with a track record of engaging technical users
  • Strong operations instincts; experience building scalable processes from scratch and driving cross-functional initiatives to completion
  • Strong written communication and experience engaging with communities over socials (Discord, X)
  • Proven experience organizing developer events end-to-end, from small meetups to large-scale hackathons
  • Genuine empathy for developers and curiosity about what they're building
  • Adaptability and willingness to bring bold ideas
  • Required application materials include a resume, LinkedIn profile, and a response describing a creative community initiative
  • Location information must be provided in the application
