About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and own Adaptive’s enterprise IT strategy, operating model, and multi-year roadmap
  • Partner with executive leadership and functional leaders to identify business needs, evaluate technology opportunities, and prioritize enterprise investments
  • Advise the company on enterprise IT capabilities, operational resilience, technology lifecycle management, data platforms, and employee technology experience
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing enterprise IT organization
  • Establish organizational structure, governance, policies, standards, controls, operating procedures, sourcing, and service-delivery models
  • Oversee corporate infrastructure, networks, cloud platforms, identity and access management, endpoints, telecommunications, collaboration platforms, and workplace technology
  • Lead enterprise applications and the Enterprise Data Warehouse and related data platforms
  • Partner with Data, Engineering, Security, and business leaders on data architecture, integration, governance, quality, access, retention, lineage, and security
  • Own Modern Workplace strategy and employee technology experience
  • Provide executive oversight of Service Desk operations, service performance, incident/problem/request/change management, and continuous improvement
  • Establish Business Relationship Management, demand intake, prioritization, portfolio planning, and value realization
  • Partner on security, privacy, legal, compliance, audits, risk assessments, regulatory reviews, and customer assurance activities
  • Maintain and test IT business continuity and disaster recovery; lead response to significant technology incidents
  • Own IT portfolio planning, budgets, investment plans, forecasts, resource allocation, vendors, contracts, renewals, licensing, and commercial negotiations
  • Lead IT components of transformations, organizational changes, office expansions, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and integrations
  • Represent enterprise IT in executive planning, governance, and decision-making forums
  • Establish team goals, coach and provide feedback, support employee growth, and foster belonging, respect, communication, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, with at least 20 years of related experience; OR Master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 years of related experience; OR Ph.D. in a related field with at least 12 years of related experience
  • Significant senior leadership experience within enterprise IT, including leadership of managers, multidisciplinary teams, and complex technology portfolios
  • Demonstrated success defining and executing an enterprise IT strategy aligned with business objectives and organizational growth
  • Proven experience leading enterprise IT operations in a complex, distributed, or rapidly evolving organization
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms, enterprise SaaS, identity and access management, endpoint technologies, networking, collaboration platforms, Modern Workplace capabilities, and IT service management
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing enterprise applications and data platforms, including an Enterprise Data Warehouse
  • Experience leading Service Desk operations and establishing measurable service-management and employee-experience practices
  • Experience establishing effective relationships between IT and business functions, including demand management, prioritization, roadmap development, and value realization
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale technology transformations and complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience developing and managing significant budgets, investment portfolios, strategic vendors, and outsourced service providers
  • Strong knowledge of IT governance, data governance, operational risk, business continuity, disaster recovery, and security-control practices
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders, communicate complex technology matters clearly, and make sound decisions with incomplete or evolving information
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to connect technology investments to measurable business value

  • Preferred qualifications include regulated or compliance-driven environment experience, security/privacy/compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, global or geographically distributed organization experience, M&A/ divestiture integration experience, executive or board-level presentations, and certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, Certified Business Relationship Manager, or cloud-platform certifications
