About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the GroupTalk product and R&D team, combining product strategy, engineering leadership and people management
- Translate customer needs into clear product priorities
- Balance new development with maintenance and security requirements
- Ensure engineering resources are used effectively
- Lead a team of software, hardware and product professionals based in Uppsala
- Report to the Chief Product Officer of Smart Alarms
- Participate in the CTO and CPO leadership teams
- Lead and develop the team, fostering collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
- Drive product strategy and roadmaps aligned with customer needs and business objectives
- Structure and prioritise product requirements based on customer value, business impact and technical feasibility
- Plan and allocate engineering resources
- Oversee product development and delivery, ensuring quality, reliability and predictable execution
- Improve engineering practices and collaborate with Sales, Operations and other stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, software development or a related technical field
- At least 3 years of leadership experience within R&D, engineering or product development
- Experience in product management, product roadmaps, requirements prioritisation and resource planning
- Solid understanding of software development, agile methodologies and engineering practices
- Ability to balance customer value, technical complexity and available development capacity
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A relevant technical degree or equivalent professional experience
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
- Must be eligible to work in Sweden
- Experience as an R&D Manager, Engineering Manager or similar is an advantage
- Knowledge of telecom, IoT, mobile applications or cloud services is an advantage
- Experience with hardware and software integration or mission-critical communication solutions is an advantage
- Experience working in an international organisation is an advantage
