About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently develop and enhance software components in the areas of data engineering, analytics, and cloud
- Design, build, and optimize data pipelines, interfaces, and data-driven applications
- Contribute to architecture decisions, data models, and technical solution concepts
- Implement cloud-based data and software solutions on AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI
- Analyze complex technical requirements and transform them into robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions
- Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Ensure quality through testing, code reviews, and technical documentation
- Collaborate closely with customers, project teams, and internal stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- Extensive experience in several relevant technical areas
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, or OCI
- Several years of experience in software development and/or data engineering
- Very good knowledge of Java / Java Enterprise, Spring, REST, XML, or web services
- Good to very good SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Experience with data pipelines, interfaces, data integration, or analytics applications
- Experience with Python, Unix/Linux shell, or comparable tools is a plus
- Understanding of software architecture, such as multi-tier architectures, microservices, or design patterns
- Proficiency with Git, Maven, Jira, or comparable tools
- Experience with big data technologies, modern data platforms, or cloud-native architectures is a plus
- Structured, analytical, and independent approach to work
- Ability to understand technical requirements, develop solution proposals, and implement them
- Experience working in agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban
- Experience in customer projects or IT consulting is a plus
- Degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, natural sciences, or a comparable practical qualification
- Very good German and good English skills
