About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assemble various vehicle subsystems, from simple systems to body and suspension systems
- Assess mesh quality and the consistency of properties and connections, including rigid elements, bushings, and weld spots
- Generate acoustic cavities while respecting specified measurement points
- Integrate subsystems and build BIW, TBIW, and Full Vehicle models
- Perform structure–fluid coupling
- Integrate the body and powertrain
- Perform Modal FRF, dynamic stiffness, acoustic response, powertrain noise, road noise, and direct response analyses
- Use Nastran as the primary solver, including SOL101, SOL103, SOL108, and SOL111
- Identify global modes in BIW and TBIW models
- Interpret FRFs and transfer functions
- Evaluate sound pressure levels in Pa, dB, and dB(A)
- Analyze results under different conditions, particularly powertrain noise conditions such as WOT and IDLE
- Identify transfer paths (TPA)
- Propose structural improvements to reduce vibration and noise
- Perform CAE-to-test correlation
- Prepare and present reports
- Investigate the root cause of peaks
