About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assemble different vehicle subsystems, from simple systems to body and suspension systems
- Evaluate mesh quality and the consistency of properties and connections, including rigid elements, bushings, and weld points
- Generate acoustic cavities while respecting measurement points
- Integrate subsystems and build BIW, TBIW, and Full Vehicle models
- Perform structure–fluid coupling
- Integrate the Body and Powertrain
- Perform Modal FRF, dynamic stiffness, acoustic response, powertrain noise, road noise, and direct response analyses
- Use Nastran, including SOL101, SOL103, SOL108, and SOL111
- Identify global modes in BIW and TBIW models
- Interpret FRFs and transfer functions
- Evaluate sound pressure levels in Pa, dB, and dB(A)
- Analyze results under different conditions, especially powertrain noise conditions such as WOT and IDLE
- Identify transfer paths (TPA)
- Propose structural improvements to reduce vibration and noise
- Perform CAE-to-test correlation
- Prepare and present reports
- Investigate the root cause of peaks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or a related field)
- At least 3 years of CAE experience, with a focus on vehicle safety
- Strong knowledge of the Finite Element Method (FEM), material modeling, contacts, and nonlinearity
- Experience with pre-processing tools such as ANSA (preferred) or HyperMesh
- Experience with post-processing tools such as META (preferred) or HyperView
- Experience with safety simulations, including Crash, Pedestrian Protection, Occupant Protection, Rollover, Pendulum, and related analyses
- Ability to interpret results, including energy, acceleration, and deformation
- Analytical and organized profile with a strong problem-solving focus
- Advanced or fluent English
- Experience with other solvers (e.g., Abaqus or Nastran) is a plus
- Experience with CAE-to-physical-test correlation is a plus
- Programming/scripting skills (Python, TCL) are a plus
- Familiarity with HPC environments (cluster or cloud) is a plus
- Spanish is a plus
