About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure all Advanced Quality Requirements are met for New Model Launches under Adient's PLUS (Product Launch System)
- Prepare Control Plans for Prototype, Pre-Production and Production requirements
- Complete Appearance Manuals to relevant Customer Standards
- Validate and verify gauging for production usage
- Conduct and evaluate Measurement and Capability data
- Ensure IMDS compliance across all BOM items
- Conduct Supplier APQP activities to achieve Supplier PSW Approval
- Ensure Suppliers conduct necessary DVP&R activities as part of PPAP
- Hold Grain Go and Colour Harmony / AAR approval events with customers and suppliers
- Obtain Supplier PPAP Approval
- Generate Customer PPAP contents with relevant Adient departments
- Communicate with customers to obtain Customer PSW Approval
- Participate in the Simultaneous Development Team and communicate Quality deliverables
- Develop and action customer documentation requirements for each Build Phase
- Support the JIT Plant during each New Model build phase and ensure Quality deliverables are achieved
- Conduct Supplier Visits to assess APQP deliverables and process approval status
- Conduct Adient CCSC to control Critical Characteristics within the JIT facility
- Resolve customer and internal quality issues using Adient problem-solving methods, including 8D, PSD, PCAD and Kepner-Tregoe
- Perform Quality activities according to Adient BOS, IATF16949 and Specific Customer Requirements
- Present Quality Project status at Internal Launch Readiness Reviews and External Customer Reviews
Requirements
What you’ll need- BSc / BEng. degree is required or equivalent experience
- Specific education and training in Quality disciplines, including minimum IATF16949, Continuous Improvement, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control plans, DOE and SPC
- Minimum 4 years in the Automotive Industry
- Minimum 2 years in Quality area
- Knowledge of the AIAG Quality Manuals (APQP, PPAP, MSA, FMEA etc)
- Manufacturing Quality system experience and customer communication activities
- Certification in Quality Engineering a plus
- Lead or Internal auditor training to IATF16949 (TS16949) desirable
- Fluent English
- Willingness to travel
