About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Resolve inbound and outbound calls using multiple applications and screens
  • Respond to general billing inquiries and review and resolve account issues
  • Negotiate and obtain payments immediately or postdated within 7 days
  • Direct customers to the appropriate ADT team when issues are outside the collections role
  • Explain billing charges and answer billing-related questions
  • Ask probing questions to overcome objections using negotiation skills
  • Meet monthly standards and goals
  • Meet compliance and quality assurance standards
  • Participate in special projects, which may require overtime
  • Maintain appropriate attendance and adherence goals
  • Complete 10+ weeks of onsite training in Wichita before transitioning to remote work
  • Attend onsite meetings or events on a limited basis after transitioning to remote work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year in first-party collections (non-A/R)
  • Relatable experience in car loan, financial, and credit card collections, including taking payments, setting up payment arrangements, and advising required payment amounts
  • Customer Service experience in a remote setting
  • Multi-computer-screen navigation and multiple applications
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Basic typing, math, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and verbal skills
  • Ability to multitask with multiple computer programs
  • PC experience and/or ability to learn basic functions
  • High-speed DSL, cable, or fiber internet with ethernet hardwiring capability
  • Internet speeds of at least 50 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload
  • 5G Home Internet and fixed wireless internet providers are not accepted
  • Must reside within 30 miles of the Wichita, KS site for onsite training
