About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Earned a bachelor’s degree within the past 12 months for the Post Undergraduate classification
  • Currently pursuing a master’s degree or PhD in power electronics or power systems
  • Some experience with Matlab and Matlab SimuLink or relevant real-time simulation software
  • Fundamental knowledge of power electronics design or electric drivetrain technology
  • Fundamental knowledge of typical control methods and their implementation
  • Hardware-in-the-loop software and testing experience is advantageous, such as Typhoon HIL or RSCAD (RTDS)
  • Applicants must upload official or unofficial school transcripts
  • Letter of recommendation required if selected
  • Must meet educational requirements before employment start date
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card when required
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must submit an application form, cover letter, and resume
  • 40 hours per week
