About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct covert, stationary, and mobile surveillance
- Conduct surveillance throughout the home state and surrounding states
- Record subject activity on a video recording device
- Conduct alive-and-well checks, locates, basic scene investigations, paint sample analysis, EDR, and RCS deployments/retrievals
- Prepare and complete written reports of observations
- Upload video evidence and surveillance reports
- Conduct basic claims investigations
- Travel daily within the investigator’s area/territory
- Provide clear reports of activities to the operations team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current CT Private Investigator License or completion of the pre-licensing course required
- Private Investigator licenses required; licensing differs between states
- Previous experience related to surveillance/claims investigations preferred
- Access to a reliable, suitable surveillance vehicle for day-to-day use
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to provide MVR (driving record)
- Willingness to travel throughout home state and surrounding states for work
- Varying weekly work schedule, including weekend and holiday availability
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Meet state-mandated requirements to obtain and maintain a Private Investigator license in multiple states
- Must pass a drug screen
