About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions according to the established plan of care
- Help residents improve strength, mobility, coordination and functional independence
- Address activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, bathing and self-care
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes with the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Educate and support residents, families and caregivers
- Collaborate with PT, OT, SLP, nursing and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Complete documentation accurately and timely
- Help residents work toward meaningful functional goals and greater independence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current or eligible Pennsylvania COTA licensure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative, patient-centered approach
- Interest in working with older adults in a rehabilitation setting
- Experienced COTAs and newer clinicians are encouraged to apply
