About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist in accordance with physician orders and individualized plans of care
- Assist patients in improving their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
- Implement treatment plans designed to improve function, safety, and independence
- Instruct patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, home safety recommendations, and the use of adaptive equipment
- Document patient treatments, responses, and progress in a timely and accurate manner
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Communicate changes in patient condition and progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Pennsylvania
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Home health experience preferred, but not required
