About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the daily operations and performance of the rehabilitation department
- Support, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of PT, OT, and SLP professionals
- Provide direct patient care within the COTA scope of practice, as appropriate
- Partner with facility leadership and interdisciplinary team members
- Support appropriate staffing, scheduling, and caseload management
- Promote timely, accurate documentation and outcomes-focused treatment
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and professional requirements
- Identify opportunities to strengthen therapy programming and rehabilitation services
- Foster employee engagement, communication, collaboration, and accountability
- Create an environment where clinicians feel supported, valued, and empowered to provide excellent care
- Champion AdvantageCare's commitment to integrity, empathy, collaboration, and patient-centered care
- Oversee Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA program
- Current or eligible Pennsylvania Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute care
- Understanding of clinical documentation, regulatory compliance, and ethical patient care
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across disciplines
- A leadership mindset with the ability to coach, support, and develop others
- Previous Director of Rehabilitation, Rehab Director, therapy management, supervisory, or leadership experience strongly preferred
- Ability to provide direct patient care within the COTA scope of practice
