About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supervise home health services in accordance with agency policies and physician orders
- Participate in the development of standards and procedures for safe and effective patient care
- Recruit, evaluate, orient, and, if necessary, discipline clinical staff
- Assign and manage nursing personnel to optimize care delivery and ensure adequate staffing
- Assist in developing and maintaining compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and state regulations
- Provide guidance and support to field clinicians and foster interdisciplinary collaboration
- Review medical records and ensure documentation is thorough and accurate
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education
- Act as a liaison between staff, physicians, patients, and families
- Serve as a resource and role model for professionalism, clinical excellence, and leadership
- Assume the responsibilities of the Clinical Director during absences
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of care and supervision
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in the state of practice required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience preferred, with at least 1 year in home health
- Proven leadership ability and experience managing clinical teams
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and home health best practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, use sound judgment, and lead by example
- Ability to participate in physical activity, including moderate lifting
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform other physical tasks for extended periods
- Flexibility to meet the demands of patient care and staff supervision
