About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the direct point of contact for potential new clients seeking Social Security disability benefits
- Receive inbound and outbound calls from potential disability clients
- Complete consultations and applications for disability benefits assistance
- Perform general office clerk duties, including consistently checking email and chat communications
- Ask scripted questions verbatim and enter data into the consultation and application system
- Confirm eligibility of potential clients
- Protect client confidentiality
- Handle repetitive, back-to-back calls about the same topic throughout the workday
- Adjust work hours based on company needs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Two years of previous high-volume call center experience
- Two years of experience using auto dialer software
- Must pass a background check and typing test
- Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM
- Must be able to talk on the phone and type at the same time
- Excellent reading, writing, verbal communication, and active listening skills
- Ability to enter data with correct spelling
- Organizational, time management, interpersonal, customer service, and attention to detail skills
- Quiet home office area away from noise and distractions
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new software
- Ability to sit for long periods
- Reliable and dependable attendance
- Personal high-speed internet service using an Ethernet cable; minimum 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload
- Must be logged onto the work computer and able to answer calls during normal work hours
- Must be based in the United States and reside in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, or West Virginia
- Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is a plus
