About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain BIM models and construction documentation using Autodesk Revit and other applicable BIM/CAD software
- Prepare plans, sections, schedules, details, and related drawings based on engineering markups, redlines, design documents, and technical direction
- Develop and review shop drawings and detailed construction documents to support project execution
- Perform model coordination with electrical, mechanical, structural, architectural, and plumbing disciplines
- Identify, document, and assist in resolving model clashes, interferences, and constructability issues
- Interpret design intent and translate technical information into accurate, coordinated BIM models and drawings
- Work independently on assigned drafting and modeling tasks while collaborating with project team members to resolve technical questions
- Maintain model accuracy, drawing quality, and compliance with project standards, BIM protocols, and documentation requirements
- Support project teams throughout the design and construction documentation process, incorporating revisions and updates
- Work with global AECOM teams on data center projects
- Attend occasional, scheduled client meetings, key project milestones, onsite collaboration sessions, or other business-critical activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience; associate’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience; high school diploma/GED and 8 years of relevant experience; or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Strong experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM/CAD tools used for design and building systems applications
- Experience with drafting, construction documentation, and shop drawings
- Ability to develop plans, sections, schedules, and details from markups, redlines, and design direction
- Experience with BIM model coordination, clash detection, and identification of interferences between building systems
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation and apply direction to assigned modeling and drafting tasks
- Ability to work independently, manage assigned deliverables, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams
- Preferred: experience supporting data center, mission-critical, or other technically complex building projects
- Preferred: experience working for a general contractor, sub-contractor, or other construction-focused organization
- Preferred: familiarity with construction methods, installation requirements, constructability reviews, and field coordination
- Preferred: experience creating Revit content
- Preferred: experience developing automation and efficiency tools
- Sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available now or in the future
