About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead integrated thermal generation energy solutions across AECOM’s energy practice and business lines
- Inspire and monitor multidisciplinary teams to achieve project delivery and client satisfaction
- Represent AECOM in industry forums and act as an energy-sector thought leader
- Lead business development efforts, identify opportunities, lead pursuits, and craft winning proposals
- Build relationships with utilities, data center developers, high-tech clients, and other stakeholders
- Develop and execute strategies to expand AECOM’s thermal power generation market presence
- Provide subject matter expertise for natural gas power plant and substation design, development, and implementation projects
- Assist project teams with fast-paced projects, technical challenges, schedules, budgets, and quality standards
- Strengthen technical capabilities and drive continuous improvement across the energy practice
- Partner with Buildings + Places and Environment business lines on holistic client solutions
- Monitor industry trends and emerging energy technologies
- Manage sales professionals, including guidance, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BA and 10 years of relevant experience focused on natural gas power plants, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- At least 2 years of leadership experience
- 10 years of experience and success leading pursuits, managing client relationships, contract negotiations, and driving business growth
- Demonstrated knowledge of data center energy requirements, including reliability, scalability, and sustainability
- Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic, proactive, results-oriented mindset
- Experience in business development, leading pursuits, and proposals
- Ability to identify market opportunities and develop capitalization strategies
- Strong understanding of financial metrics and project economics
- Must have US employment authorization; sponsorship is not available
