About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform detailed QC reviews of Civil OSP design packages, including trenching, duct banks, manholes/handholes, and utility coordination
- Validate designs against client-specific templates and technical documentation
- Cross-reference designs against local jurisdictional requirements and national standards including NEC and NESC
- Identify inconsistencies or missing elements and provide actionable feedback to CAD and design teams
- Assist Project Managers with design review cycles, comment logs, and submittal deadlines
- Integrate feedback from municipalities, permitting agencies, and other external stakeholders into design workflows
- Participate in internal meetings to align design intent with field conditions and construction requirements
- Maintain QC checklists across project deliverables
- Identify recurring design errors and improve upstream processes
- Use Smartsheet, dashboards, and trackers to monitor workflow efficiency and reduce manual errors
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS in a Technology field or related discipline
- AutoCAD or similar GIS/design software experience
- Experience in OSP design, telecommunications, or civil drafting/review
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Smartsheet
- Basic understanding of Civil OSP components, including conduit, cabling, and ROW
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future
- Must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
