About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute and deliver GIS projects ranging from basic to moderate to significant scopes and complexity
  • Develop databases and mapping outputs to support reports and project deliverables
  • Create, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and presentation
  • Perform quality assurance of GIS data and graphic components
  • Extract and provide GIS data to clients
  • Prepare and maintain internal and external project documentation, including quality control documentation
  • Work directly with Level I/II/III/IV GIS Specialists and Project Managers
  • Assist field teams with field mapping preparation, field data collection, and data extraction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS and 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, or a related field preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to independently manage workload schedules
  • 1+ years of GIS or other relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal, and/or other relevant ArcGIS software
  • Understanding of the ESRI suite of products
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Technical knowledge of geographic concepts, including coordinate systems, data collection methods, spatial data management, analysis, data visualization, and cartographic design
