About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work on a team of ICT designers and BIM specialists to produce quality, constructable data center design documents on schedule
Perform Data Center design work based on work plans and task definitions
Apply ICT infrastructure knowledge to survey, design, development, and construction administration projects
Perform ICT design and production for hyper-scale and enterprise data centers
Design structured cabling systems, campus/WAN networks, passive optical networks, and outside plant
Perform specific or limited ICT design and production duties as part of a larger data center design team
Produce construction drawings using BIM software such as Revit
Gather and correlate engineering data using established procedures
Complete detailed and routine design and consulting assignments
Propose solutions to new or complex problems
Perform work within agreed budgets and schedules with minimal supervision

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university plus four (4) years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Data Center Design and production experience with ICT infrastructure
Current BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certification or the desire and ability to achieve same
U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent residency (Green Card) required
Professional experience and/or proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Visio Professional, Bluebeam Extreme (Revu), Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365 Suite, and other ICT-specific programs
Other active BICSI Certifications preferred; BICSI DCDC certification is a plus
Ability to work remotely across the United States; hybrid option available near an AECOM office
Relocation is not available
