About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research, develop and simulate quantum error correction codes, decoders and fault-tolerant protocols.
- Investigate QEC approaches for photonic and measurement-based quantum computing within Aegiq's hardware architecture.
- Develop realistic models of hardware noise and loss, including photon loss and erasure errors.
- Evaluate fault-tolerance thresholds, logical error rates, resource overheads and scalability.
- Develop, implement and benchmark decoding algorithms for integration with quantum control systems.
- Collaborate with quantum architecture, experimental and software teams to translate QEC requirements into hardware specifications, control strategies and compilation approaches.
- Develop numerical simulations and research software to evaluate protocols, validate models and support architectural decisions.
- Contribute to technical publications, patents, research programmes and collaborative activities.
- For Senior level: own substantial research activities, define technical approaches, make independent scientific decisions, guide team members and contribute to Aegiq's fault-tolerant quantum computing architecture.
Requirements
