About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer Navy Flank Speed Azure desktop environment server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, and network storage
Perform systems monitoring
Consult on network, application, and customer service issues
Support computer systems' security and availability
Deploy and manage virtual machines in Azure for a large user base
Monitor session statistics and develop/refine usage metrics
Inform provisioning of additional resources or shutdown of unused resources
Assist in developing service optimization models
Provide technical support to the Enterprise Flank Speed Tier 2 service desk
Manage Windows images, including group policy and end-user software

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years IT experience
Significant experience using Microsoft Azure
Relevant experience as a Windows system administrator
CompTIA Security+ certification or higher is required
Working knowledge of the ITIL Framework
Understanding of cloud computing and networking
Hands-on experience with PowerShell
Superior organizational skills
Capable of managing multiple projects
Great oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Active US government Secret Level Security clearance
