About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage all aspects of the Aéropostale store
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing team
- Create an exceptional customer experience and build brand loyalty
- Hire and train associates
- Use statistical information and market knowledge to create action plans
- Achieve financial, customer-service, operational, sales, and profitability goals
- Ensure merchandising and operational standards are consistently met
- Oversee controllable expenses, including payroll and training
- Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to team members
- Lead or assist with floor sets, window changes, and visual merchandising
- Perform POS transactions and management functions when the Assistant Manager is absent
- Schedule employees to maximize productivity
- Report to the District Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years as a Store Manager in a similar-volume apparel business (preferred)
- Proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- May require occasional travel to other store locations and attendance at district meetings
- Ability to manage hiring, training, store operations, sales, profitability, merchandising, and customer service goals
