About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead site work end to end, including evaluating and securing space, planning build-outs, managing moves, and making locations fully operational
  • Define site strategy for a growing fleet, including on-airport versus off-airport functions and infrastructure for storage, charging, data offload, calibration, and service access
  • Manage facilities, including utilities, connectivity, maintenance, access and security, service contracts, vendors, and property relationships
  • Anticipate operational needs and manage obligations, renewals, and physical-space constraints
  • Procure devices, tools, safety equipment, non-autonomous vehicles, furniture, and site infrastructure from requirements through deployment and support
  • Evaluate purchases based on cost, reliability, and lead time; obtain approvals and maintain organized spending documentation
  • Track company assets, locations, and condition
  • Run device and account lifecycles for the field team, including procurement, carrier plans, mobile device management, mounting, account provisioning, and offboarding recovery
  • Lead ambiguous initiatives from Operations leadership through completion with minimal oversight
  • Build project plans covering scope, sequence, dependencies, timelines, budgets, and communications
  • Coordinate cross-functional work without direct authority
  • Identify recurring friction and design processes, tools, trackers, or documentation to remove it
  • Identify manual work for automation and build or specify solutions
  • Standardize ad-hoc practices
  • Write operational communications for frontline operators, executives, customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Support internal and external events, including planning, logistics, and follow-through
  • Provide leadership with concise status updates and escalate genuine blockers early
  • Work across Operations, Engineering, Hardware, Safety, IT, Finance, and People, and with vendors, service providers, property managers, airport, and airline stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years in operations, program or project management, chief of staff, facilities, procurement, or a comparable generalist role where you owned outcomes rather than tasks
  • A record of taking ambiguous problems from first mention to fully resolved without supervision, with specific examples you can walk through in depth
  • Experience managing external vendors, contractors, or service providers, including scoping work and holding them to it
  • Comfort with numbers and commercial terms — ability to build a cost comparison, read a quote or a contract, and explain trade-offs to an executive
  • Strong writing; ability to produce a clear note to a frontline team and a clear recommendation to a founder
  • A reliable system for tracking commitments
  • Willingness to work onsite in Atlanta, including regular presence at the airport facility
  • Ability to pass federal background checks and to receive and maintain an airport security badge
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Preferred: experience opening, building out, or relocating a physical site
  • Preferred: experience supporting a frontline, hourly, or shift-based workforce
  • Preferred: familiarity with aviation, logistics, manufacturing, construction, or field operations
  • Preferred: experience at an early-stage or high-growth company where the process did not exist yet
  • Preferred: experience administering devices, carrier accounts, or SaaS tools, such as mobile device management, Apple Business Manager, or workforce apps
  • Preferred: comfort building lightweight tools, including spreadsheets, forms, automations, and documentation
