About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and support a timely, accurate month-end close
  • Review trial balances and intercompany activity for proper classification
  • Deliver financial reporting schedules and analyses, including quarterly SEC reporting inputs
  • Execute SOX and internal control activities and support control enhancements
  • Partner with FP&A, Operations, and other teams to research accounting issues and enhance processes
  • Support internal and external audits and maintain strong documentation
  • Contribute to ERP implementation and integration efforts through testing, data validation, and process design
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and workflow efficiencies
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting for stakeholders and leadership
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and handle other requests as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • CPA or progress toward CPA
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of accounting experience with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Experience with large ERP systems, including Oracle Fusion, and core financial tools
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners
  • U.S. citizenship required under ITAR and ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional) desired
  • SOX/internal controls experience and exposure to public-company or SEC reporting desired
  • Government contracting industry accounting experience, including FAR and CAS knowledge, desired
  • Experience with ERP implementations or migrations, including Oracle FCCS/Fusion, desired
  • Experience with AI tools/resources desired
  • Ability to work in an office environment as needed
  • Ability to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard
