About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Edit and proofread proposal content for grammar, clarity, consistency, and compliance
- Ensure materials adhere to solicitation instructions, evaluation criteria, and company style guides
- Collaborate with proposal managers, writers, and subject matter experts to improve structure, flow, readability, and customer focus
- Verify data accuracy, terminology consistency, and document formatting
- Support Pink, Red, and Gold color team reviews and integrate feedback into final versions
- Maintain version control and quality across all proposal volumes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism, or related field
- 8+ years of editing experience, preferably in DoD proposal or technical environments
- Strong editing, grammar and writing abilities
- Proficiency in MS Word, PPT, and Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Experience editing government or corporate proposals (RFP/RFQ responses)
- Familiarity with AP or Chicago style, MS Teams, and SharePoint
- Knowledge of Shipley or similar proposal methodologies
- TS Clearance
- Top Secret clearance level
- Ability to qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR requirements or obtain an export license; some positions may require current U.S. citizenship due to contract requirements
