About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, assemble, service, and repair Aerzen products at company and customer locations
  • Perform startups, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on Aerzen products
  • Represent Aerzen professionally while following company and customer safety requirements
  • Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain pneumatic, analog, and digital instrumentation
  • Install and terminate electrical, pneumatic, and fluid connections
  • Understand controls narratives and troubleshoot process-application issues
  • Analyze and correct TCP/IP network and RS-485 communication issues
  • Disassemble machines, assess damage, evaluate failures, diagnose problems, and identify root causes
  • Offer machine-based recommendations and use defined procedures and standard rebuild kits
  • Read and use equipment diagrams, checklists, engineering drawings, and process documentation
  • Communicate job requirements, recommendations, service options, concerns, and status updates to customers
  • Evaluate customer future needs and communicate information through appropriate channels
  • Assist engineering with plant design, modifications, and hazard analysis
  • Plan and schedule travel using the Concur booking tool
  • Complete service reports, expense reports, forms, written repair reports, and commissioning graphs
  • Conduct customer training on Aerzen products onsite
  • Maintain quality standards, safety procedures, and a clean work area
  • Participate in inventory counts, shop organization, cleanup, and other assigned departmental duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate Degree (2 years schooling) in electronics technology or equivalent experience
  • Over 4 years of Field Service and Repair experience in rotating equipment
  • Windows, Microsoft Office, and Internet abilities
  • TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications
  • Allen Bradley PLC experience is preferred
  • RS Logix 5000 experience is preferred
  • PLC or similar Ladder-Logic programming experience is desired
  • Ability to interpret process flow, control wiring, and piping and instrumentation diagrams
  • Welding (brazing, cutting, welding, plasma) is a plus
  • Strong customer-focus, leadership, and change-management skills
  • High integrity and compliance mindset
  • Ability to travel more than 50% of the time
  • Must pass a thorough background check
  • Must pass a drug test before beginning work
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
