Break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in multiple phases, and collaborate to ensure timely delivery
Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics during ideation and decision-making
Articulate technical constraints and help evaluate risks and trade-offs
Create and monitor metrics for team artifacts
Escalate issues and support operational availability, keep-the-lights-on, and on-call efforts
Participate in growth and development activities, including interviewing
Work on front-end-facing cross-team projects across mobile and web technologies
Collaborate with product experience teams across Affirm

Requirements

What you’ll need

1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer
Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue
Experience shipping mobile apps using native or cross-platform languages such as React Native
Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages such as Kotlin or Python
Ability to translate simple problems or business scenarios into solutions interacting with multiple software components
Ability to write clear, well-tested, extensible code
Comfort navigating large code bases, debugging others' code, and providing code review feedback
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
