Key responsibilities & impact

Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team
Lead engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems
Support team members throughout delivery
Collaborate with product management, design and analytics during ideation and technical decision-making
Articulate technical constraints and assess risks and trade-offs
Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology and business issues
Create and monitor metrics for team artifacts
Support operations, availability, keep-the-lights-on and on-call efforts
Set and improve code review and design standards
Advocate for engineering standards through writing and tech talks
Develop team talent through feedback, guidance and leading by example

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of experience developing and architecting mobile applications, preferably using declarative UI frameworks like React Native
Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue
Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems
Proficiency in Python or Kotlin
Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components with elegant, simple and extensible designs
Ability to write high-quality code that is easily understood and used by others
Proficiency making significant changes in a large code base
Experience developing tools and practices to make large code-base changes safely
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with React Native mobile application development is also listed as a bonus
