About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and improve high-traffic consumer web experiences for Affirm’s logged-out web properties
  • Contribute to web experimentation, instrumentation, marketing technology integrations, attribution, and measurement
  • Work across React, TypeScript, shared component systems, testing, performance, and observability
  • Develop expertise in Google Tag Manager, analytics and experimentation platforms, conversion tracking, and marketing APIs
  • Break larger projects into tasks, deliver work in phases, and collaborate to ensure timely delivery
  • Partner with Product, Design, Marketing, Analytics, and Data Engineering
  • Articulate technical constraints and help make decisions considering risks and trade-offs
  • Create and monitor metrics, escalate issues, and support operations, availability, and on-call efforts
  • Participate in growth and development activities, including the interview process

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue
  • Experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Ability to turn simple problems or business scenarios into solutions interacting with multiple software components
  • Ability to write clear, well-tested, extensible code
  • Comfortable navigating a large codebase
  • Experience debugging others' code
  • Experience providing feedback through code reviews
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
