About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Break down larger projects into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases
  • Collaborate with teammates, product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Participate in ideation, articulate technical constraints, and help make decisions considering risks and trade-offs
  • Create and monitor metrics for team artifacts
  • Escalate issues and support operational availability, including keep-the-lights-on and on-call efforts
  • Participate in growth and development activities, including interviewing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue
  • Experience shipping mobile apps using native or cross-platform languages such as React Native
  • Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages such as Kotlin or Python
  • Ability to turn simple problems or business scenarios into solutions involving multiple software components
  • Ability to write clear, well-tested, extensible code
  • Comfort navigating large codebases and debugging others' code
  • Experience providing feedback through code reviews
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field
