About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and monitor relevant bid opportunities through bid boards and market sources
  • Analyze civil site development, utility, demolition drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Define project scope for Division 2 / Site Work projects
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs
  • Calculate labor, equipment, and material costs
  • Prepare accurate, competitive, and timely bid packages and proposals
  • Solicit, compile, and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes
  • Build and manage relationships with subcontractors and material suppliers
  • Prepare and track pre-construction submittals, RFIs, and drawing revisions
  • Track change orders and manage billing follow-ups
  • Coordinate vendor approvals
  • Maintain organized digital job files and project documentation
  • Provide light project management and post-award administrative support
  • Work closely with leadership in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 3–4+ years of hands-on civil estimating experience focused on Division 2 / Site Work
  • Deep understanding of site preparation, grading, concrete/foundation removal, utility installation, water/sewer/fire connections, and interior demolition
  • Ability to independently read, interpret, and analyze civil and architectural drawings
  • Google Drive experience required
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam and Procore is a strong plus
  • Business-level English fluency, written and verbal
  • Strong client- and vendor-facing communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and able to manage multiple concurrent estimates and project tasks independently
  • Proven specialization in civil/site work estimating
  • Direct, practical knowledge of Division 2 site work scope and operations
  • Ability to work with minimal day-to-day supervision
  • Available to start within 1–2 weeks
  • Minimum two-week notice commitment required
  • Willingness to work in the US timezone
  • Ability to work as an independent contractor
  • Resume must be formatted in English
