About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsibility for the accurate and timely execution of accounting and closing processes for international reporting under IFRS, as well as local financial statements under HGB and applicable tax regulations
Preparation, execution, and review of complex journal entries within the assigned area of responsibility
Preparation, compilation, and verification of relevant financial reports as part of closing processes and for communication with internal and external stakeholders
Ensuring the accurate recording, validation, and ongoing review of all business transactions in the balance sheet and income statement
Providing subject-matter expertise and independently handling complex accounting and financial reporting matters
Ensuring a high level of quality and reliability in financial information and providing it as required to the relevant stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed commercial training or a university degree specializing in accounting, finance, or a comparable field
Further qualification as a Certified Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) is desirable
Several years of professional experience, ideally at least seven years, in accounting or finance and accounting
In-depth knowledge of international financial reporting under IFRS and national accounting under HGB
Good knowledge of national and international tax law
Extensive practical experience in bookkeeping and carrying out financial closing processes
Confident handling of financial information and preparing it for specific target audiences
Experience in an international corporate environment
Experience independently handling complex accounting and financial reporting matters
Excellent written and spoken German and English
