About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage assigned customer accounts through hardware/software maintenance of stand-alone Agfa products and associated peripheral equipment
- Install and repair assigned Agfa products
- Verify electrical and environmental safety factors at customer sites
- Test products for functional operation and verify operating performance with customers
- Review basic operational functions with customers to fulfill installation training obligations
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on assigned SMA, courtesy visits, and time-and-material accounts
- Communicate regularly with the Regional Manager to escalate difficulties and ensure customer satisfaction
- Document service calls, expenses, and time reports daily and submit them weekly to the zone office
- Order parts and return repairable spare-part components
- Keep service aids, tools, and diagnostic equipment service-ready
- Coordinate with the scheduler to meet response-time and uptime commitments
- Promote Agfa offerings, including System Maintenance Agreements, Professional Services, and products
- Serve as the onsite conduit to Agfa management and Sales for customer issues
- Interact effectively with customers and Agfa employees across different skill sets and personalities
- Make fiscally responsible decisions and work resourcefully without supervision
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of an associate degree in electronics technology or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a high-tech field, printing, publishing, and/or inkjet environment
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Problem analysis and judgment
- Self-awareness and self-motivation
- Knowledge of the graphics, inkjet, printing/publishing market is an asset
- Strong customer service and support principles
- Experience and understanding of remote diagnostics
- Ability to work in the field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin or Northern Illinois
- Ability to adhere to safety policies while working and driving a company vehicle
- Ability to work without supervision and stay motivated
