About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage customers in an assigned territory through remote and on-site hardware and software maintenance of Agfa imaging products
  • Promote and support Agfa service offerings and improve systems and processes
  • Install, troubleshoot, and perform remedial and preventive maintenance on Agfa and trained OEM products
  • Review basic equipment operations with customers during installations
  • Perform system administration as required
  • Resolve hardware and software problems to ensure customer uptime and satisfaction
  • Develop technical solutions with hospital IT administrators, end users, vendors, and support teams
  • Install software and hardware and execute performance analyses
  • Diagnose system defects and apply fixes, workarounds, or other resolution techniques
  • Initiate and manage issue escalations while keeping customers and management informed
  • Document daily service activities and maintain customer issue lists
  • Negotiate satisfactory resolutions with end users and management
  • Build customer relationships and support action plans for additional Agfa sales, including service agreements, upgrades, professional services, and new equipment
  • Assist installation teams with system installations, upgrades, and implementation activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology field or equivalent combination of education and relevant healthcare imaging experience
  • 5 or more years of previous work experience in a technical customer support role working with mission-critical imaging systems
  • DR imaging experience highly desired
  • Experience with electronic and electromechanical systems
  • Expert knowledge of digital medical image processing
  • Knowledge of Agfa software or similar industry PACS
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office, Lotus Notes, and internet-based knowledge management systems
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience adapting to change and managing priorities
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience working in a global environment with remote locations and virtual teams
  • Understanding of the technical services business, product launch process, and healthcare environment
  • Must be eligible to travel overnight within the US and Canada
  • Experience with HL7 and DICOM
  • Must be eligible to apply for customer-initiated security clearances such as the US National Agency Check (NAC)
  • Ability to travel 60% to 75%, depending on geographic location and business needs
