About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement web-based interfaces, microservices, REST APIs, and workflow modules using Java Spring Boot and Maven
Build, maintain, and optimize cloud-based data workflows and database services using AWS Glue, DynamoDB, and DMS
Package and deploy containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code automation
Maintain, test, and update software using GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Git version control workflows
Monitor, query, and troubleshoot production applications using Elasticsearch, Grafana, and related observability tools
Troubleshoot complex production problems, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve issues identified during testing and implementation
Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements, perform feasibility analyses, and evaluate integration tools
Research, test, build, and coordinate integration of legacy and modern software components across complex customer environments
Resolve software bugs, respond to system enhancement feedback, and contribute to software documentation and user guides
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience within an Agile development framework
Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs and web-based applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Maven
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
Experience with AWS cloud platforms and modern version control systems such as GitLab
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
DoD Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance required on application
Direct experience with AWS Glue, DynamoDB, and AWS DMS
Experience writing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
Exposure to Elasticsearch, Grafana, and Kafka
Proficiency with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and API testing tools such as SoapUI and Postman
Strong relational database and SQL knowledge
Must be able to remain stationary for long durations and continuously operate a computer and office productivity machinery
