About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify gaps, clarify expected behavior, and define test coverage
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, checklists, and test data
Execute functional, exploratory, smoke, regression, integration, and API testing
Validate user workflows, edge cases, error handling, and compatibility across browsers and devices
Document defects with reproduction steps, expected and actual results, and supporting evidence
Investigate issues using available tools, logs, and network information to help developers identify causes
Collaborate with developers, project leads, and stakeholders to clarify issues, verify fixes, and assess release readiness
Prioritize testing based on business impact, product risk, and delivery timelines
Communicate testing progress, blockers, coverage gaps, and unresolved risks
Manage QA responsibilities across multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting agreed deadlines
Recommend improvements to testing processes, documentation, and product usability

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least three years of professional QA experience, with a strong focus on manual and functional testing
Advanced or fluent English (C1 or higher)
Must be based in Panama and eligible for full-time employment in Panama
Demonstrated experience testing web applications, including complex workflows and business rules
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or similar tools, including validating responses, status codes, authentication, and error handling
Ability to use browser developer tools to inspect network requests, console errors, and application behavior
Experience using issue-tracking and test-management tools such as Jira, Linear, TestRail, TestLink, or equivalent platforms
Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating throughout the development process
A track record of independently managing testing activities and following issues through to resolution
Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing tools such as BrowserStack
Basic programming or scripting knowledge
Ability to organize and complete work with minimal day-to-day supervision
Ability to raise questions, blockers, and quality risks early, with clear context and practical recommendations
Ability to balance competing priorities, provide realistic estimates, and communicate changes that may affect delivery
