About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with the Sr. VP of Operations for all divisions of the organization
- Coordinate and implement staff education, orientation, and competencies
- Coordinate Agency orientation for clinical staff with Human Resources
- Develop and coordinate ongoing staff development and clinical training course content
- Ensure compliance with orientation and educational requirements under Medicare CoPs, CHAP standards, and other applicable requirements
- Coordinate staff meeting agendas and in-services with Clinical leadership
- Provide content for field staff conference calls
- Participate in selecting agency preceptors/mentors
- Develop preceptor/mentor curriculum and ensure their training
- Distribute staff meeting information to staff who do not attend meetings
- Collaborate on process improvement, problem solving, staff education, and remediation
- Assist with office duties and perform field visits as needed
- Participate in agency program development and implementation
- Assist clinical departments with documentation improvement
- Assemble and maintain a documentation task force
- Provide CEU-credited education courses to community facilities
- Complete corporate documents and reports timely
- Meet or exceed targeted goals
- Maintain communication with the Director regarding compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Licensed RN or BSN with current state license
- Master’s degree in Nursing or health care-related field preferred
- 2 years of experience in Hospice Education
- 1 year of experience in Quality Improvement related activities preferred
- CPR Instructor-certified or ability to be certified as such
- Ability to train and develop employees to meet company expectations
- Structured, organized, very detailed, and able to meet deadlines
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare Guidelines for Hospice
- Successful completion of a drug screen prior to employment
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
