About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain a comprehensive view of investment opportunities, projects under execution, and future P&L contributions across the EAP cluster
- Proactively manage investment budgets, CapEx envelopes, reporting, and governance processes
- Track investment portfolios, CO2 emission variances, and project contributions for Group consolidation reporting
- Work with the CFO to forecast and anticipate funding requirements
- Optimize internal digital finance tools and support the company-wide migration project
- Execute standard CapEx operations and communicate budget utilization for allocated regions
- Collaborate with Global Business Services Finance in Kuala Lumpur on project administration and fixed asset capitalization
- Contribute to or lead the Normal cluster memo for the Regional Investment Committee
- Lead the end-to-end special investment process as Investments business partner for the Business Development team
- Review business cases, project notes, financial models, and approvals
- Track FIP and SUP/RUP milestones, support asset capitalization, and leverage AI tools to optimize workflows
- Prepare D&A forecast and status reports with commentary and flag project overruns
- Monitor and analyze investment performance against benchmarks and internal targets
- Support strategic target-setting and reforecasting for the Investment Decisions portfolio and P&L contribution
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 3+ years of financial control, investment accounting or analytical experience, preferably within capital-intensive sectors
- Basic knowledge of finance, including P&L up to Operating Income, CapEx, and OpEx terminologies
- Hands-on experience using Power BI
- Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) or equivalent Microsoft products
- Adaptable, autonomous problem-solving ability
- Strong numerical proficiency and time management skills
- Proven ability to meet strict deadlines
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships and influencing cross-functional teams
- Clear, concise communication skills and ability to simplify complex financial topics
- Ability to be effectively assertive when driving policy outcomes
