About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and oversee day-to-day operations of bases in a defined area within the region
  • Coordinate clinical, aviation, and maintenance services to optimize operational, safety, and financial targets
  • Ensure bases are staffed, operating safely, in service, and providing a positive customer experience
  • Build an optimal and engaged local base culture aligned with company values and mission
  • Drive KPIs to maximize profit contribution
  • Manage and control P&L, expenses, and payroll across assigned bases
  • Schedule base staff to ensure full coverage, optimize in-service rates, and minimize overtime
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence and Business Development to ensure policy compliance and customer satisfaction
  • Recruit, manage performance, develop, coach, and address employee relations issues, including termination
  • Oversee supply chain, logistics, maintenance, clinical, and non-aviation activities and expenses
  • Plan maintenance events and spare utilization to minimize base out-of-service events
  • Coordinate with hospital partners to execute joint relationships prioritizing safety, clinical, and operational excellence
  • Align teams and partners around shared priorities and actions
  • Maintain and monitor business, medical, and other required licenses and compliance with DOT and Non-DOT requirements
  • Coordinate base startups, moves, closures, facility repairs, maintenance, and lease management
  • Directly supervise employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, performance management, discipline, and resolving problems
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-5 years of related work experience in clinical, aviation, maintenance with strong leadership background and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred
  • Strong leadership background
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage revenue and budgets
  • Ability to prepare written reports
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to be available 24/7 for operational requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 70% or more depending on business needs
  • Regular attendance is an essential function
